Ringo Tang (1961-) is a visual worker, multimedia Artist, photographer, TVC director. His acute awareness of the ‘art scene’ is seen in his many faceted works. His reputation is that of someone who is always keep experimenting with new styles and pushing things to the edge. Ringo has worked as a professional photographer since 1984 and starts filmmaking at 1994.
Series , released in 1995, is a work that cut out the two years in Hong Kong before its return to China. This was remarked as a fine work as it conveys the special atomosphere of the place at that time through the feelings – anxiety, concern, guesses- of mojority of young people with mono colour print. Added to documentary aspect, his sharp eye sights began to be reflect on his artistic works.
This exhibition introduces photographs and video works from a series . Through his camera, dancers on an stormy island show a living rythem throbbing in every creature, sometimes wild and other times quiet.
