Gallery Yamaki Fine Art is pleased to present the collection exhibition “Concept – Object – Environment” from March 4 (Sat) to March 11 (Sat).
This exhibition introduces works by five contemporary artists who have led the postwar Japanese art scene under the themes of “Concept,” “Object,” and “Environment. Although they have been described as “conceptualists,” “materialists,” and “environmental artists,” they have continued to create works with a freedom of thought that has never been contained within these terms. Rather, they have freely moved back and forth between these terms, sometimes influencing and criticizing each other, while at the same time sharpening their own expressions. By contrasting the works of these artists who seem to have worked in parallel in the Kansai region at the same time, this exhibition will explore the points of intersection where they continue to work while sharing a common awareness of issues in many ways.
We hope you will take this opportunity to visit the exhibition.
Please note that the exhibition period and opening hours may be subject to change due to social conditions such as the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), etc. We will inform you of the change on our website.
