Gallery Yamaki Fine Art presented Sadamasa MOTONAGA (1922-2011) from the Gutai Art Association, Susumu KOSHIMIZU(1944-) and Kenji INUMAKI (1943-) from the Mono-ha / School of Things.
Works from these 2 significant movements of different expression method, Gutai and Mono-ha, are exhibited from the perspective of ‘Color and Form’.
They may differ in their approaches however their works show common aspects when focused on the fundamental elements as ‘Color and Form’.
By examining the expressions which underlie these movements, this perspective will serve as an opportunity to present tendencies, individualities and features of Japanese contemporary art.
