Kenji INUMAKI (1943-, b. in Osaka ) started his creative life in the late 60s. At first he had produced solid works inspired by such an art movements from abroad like primary structure. In 70s, he started several series of paintings; works of graph paper coloured faintly with coloured pencil, works with sumi ink, and works of white oil paint layered thick on canvas. His style is consistent and that is repetition of simple action and minimal works as results of it. Judged from such attitude, he is now recognized and attracts attention as Mono-ha ( School of Things ) artists.
This is INUMAKI’s first one man exhibition at Gallery Yamaki Fine Art with 13 latest paintings. Please do not miss this opportunity to see his recent attempt.
