Gallery Yamaki Fine Art has devoted itself to introducing the postwar avant garde artists from 50s and younger emerging generation who take after the activities of those artists with their own new expression developing. Presenting them outward Japan is also its important business, as well as the presentation of foreign artists to Japanese collectors.

Current exhibition features recent works of 4 postwar artists. Takesada MATSUTANI and Sadaharu HORIO were the members of The Gutai Art Association, an avant garde art group emreged in Kansai area after the World War Ⅱ. Susumu KOSHIMIZU represents Mono-ha that is an artistic phenomenon collected from the sate 60s to early 70s and recently recognized globally. Exhibited are his rare small works. Kenji INUMAKI questions what is the essence of drawing by the repetition of exremely simple act such as just painting colour over and over on canvas.
