Born in 1960 in Münster, Germany. First practice photography when he was 16 years old. Started his career as a fashion photographer in 1989. From 1990 to 1999, he worked for German magazine Max as a photo reporter and made monthly travel worldwide capitals as NY, Sydney, Havanna, Hong Kong and so on, by which he got fairly good recognition. Now he lives in Paris where he made his name known for food and wine photography in French life style for worldwide magazines and books in 1995. At present he is a freelance photographer.
