Florian Süssmayr (born in 1963, München) used to be a member of a local punk band in the 80s, the era of punk music. Up through to the end of the 90s, he participated in the making of both experimental and documentary films. From the end of 90s, Süssmayr started oil paintings. With photographs as motives, he has painted ordinary daily scenes tranquillo. His paintings evoke various feelings such as enthusiasm, anxiety, transience, reliableness, etc.
